Greg Bolden
Keyboards

Greg Bolden was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, about one hour away from Motown (Detroit). He started playing Clarinet in the fourth grade and continued throughout high school. He picked up the guitar at age 16 and formed his first band, The Flint Express Band.

Their first gig was performing for
his parent's house party in the garage. "We only knew 3 songs - unbelievable extended versions of songs by Jimi Hendrix, The Funkadelics and James Brown. My parents suggested I stay in school before hitting the road for a world tour." His father played the saxophone and piano for fun and his mother played the radio, which helped influence the start of his musical career.

Greg began playing professionally at the age of 21, starting with a blues tour to Mississippi. Later he formed a five-piece Top 40 Variety Band and toured the Midwest Holiday Inns, various hotels and private functions during the late 70's and early 80's.

Greg has also produced, written and arranged three albums and three 45's with multiple recording artists, and has had one song entered into Billboard's Top 200 during the 80's. He has played with The Dramatics (Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get, In The Rain), opened for The Temptations Reunion Tour, Rene' and Angela (Your Smile), Bobby Womack (I Can Understand It), Enchantment (Gloria) and has promoted concerts with Ray Charles, The Emotions, Salt and Pepper, LLcoolJ, Run DMC and various Rap and singing groups.

Greg moved to Tallahassee, FL in 1994 to help take care of his parents. He started performing in Tallahassee a year later with a group he formed named Kolazh. Playing guitar along with vocalist Wendy Feathers and Laura Hurlbutt, Keith Kitchens and Mike Worley, they performed at most of Tallahassee's local nightspots. Later he formed Str-8-Up whose band performed in Tallahassee's Fourth of July Celebrate America.

Currently, you can catch Greg's funky R&B keyboards styling with the group Night Breeze along with four very talented musicians around North Florida and South Georgia's nightclubs.

When Greg isn't working on music and writing songs, you can catch him traveling to a nearby Casino, taking off for a beach weekend vacation or just in front of his TV, chillin' in his lazy boy.
